This is a stunning 18ct gold, sapphire and diamond gypsy set ring in beautiful condition, and fully hallmarked for 18ct Gold, Birmingham and what i believe is the year 1876 (the letter is tricky to read and it could also be 1878).
The central sapphire is a deep sea blue, and the diamonds on either side appear to be different cuts - one a rose cut, and one an old cut. All three gems, which are arranged in a diagonal design across the face of the ring, are framed in kite shaped settings and they catch the light at all angles. Beautiful decorative engraving is featured on each shoulder giving the ring a really unique feel.
This classic ring would be an ideal engagement ring; beautiful and elegant but robust enough to wear daily.
The face of the ring measures 8mm at its widest point and weighs 3.11g.
This stunning antique ring is a UK size N 1/2, which is a USA size 7
